Sochannam Legal, established in the year 2013, is a boutique Commercial and Maritime Law Practice.

Our Maritime and International trade practice covers dry and wet aspects of shipping, insurance and commodities trading. We are instructed by P&I clubs, shipowners, charterers, managers, receivers, and commodity traders.

Our robust network across major and minor ports in India addresses the needs of ship-owners, charterers, cargo receivers and H&M insurers. We have a critical understanding of the functioning of various major and minor ports in India.

Our Corporate and Commercial practice advises on diverse spectrum of areas ranging from tax and transaction advisory, banking and financial laws, M&A, corporate restructuring.

Members of the Firm have represented and advised both domestic and offshore clients on their investments, acquisitions, exits, disputes and other cross-border transactions and contractual arrangements. The Firm also has a vast experience in handling civil, commercial, constitutional and criminal matters and litigation.
